Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge dog lover. Big dogs, small dogs, young dogs and old dogs - I love them all! Dogs have been a part of my family ever since I was a baby and over the years I've had several different furry friends. Having a loyal companion to spend time with and come home to everyday is honestly the best. I'm definitely the type of person who likes to spoil their pets and make sure that they're happy and well taken care of.

Back when my husband and I were dating he got a white Labrador Retriever puppy. I remember driving with him to pick up the pup and as soon as we saw him (along with all of his brothers and sisters) we instantly fell in love with him. We decided to name him Oakley and we've been spoiling him ever since.

I think the thing I love most about Oakley are his quirks. Every dog is different and they each have their own personality, but I've never had a dog that acts like he does. He's super mellow around the house but when it's playtime, he goes from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds. He loves to run around in our backyard, play fetch and just lay down in the grass and soak up the sun.

This month Oakley got his first box of goodies from Chewy.com. When the package arrived he was so excited to open it and see what was inside. We were shipped two packages of dog treats for Oakley to try out: Blue Buffalo Limited Ingredient Biscuit Treats and Natural Balance Tender Cuts Dog Treats

The Blue Buffalo Limited Ingredient Biscuit Treats are made from a simple recipe with a limited number of natural ingredients. They're oven-baked and include real turkey, a high-quality protein not commonly used in dog treats, which makes them ideal for dogs with food sensitivities.

The Natural Balance Tender Cuts Dog Treats are made with high-quality duck and they contain no corn, wheat, artificial flavors or colors. They're great for training or as a healthy treat and both puppies and adult dogs would enjoy them.

We decided to do some taste testing and let Oakley decide what treat he liked the best. We set both of the treats that we got on the ground, spaced them apart and told Oakley to sit and stay about 15 feet away. Once the treats were on the ground and we were ready for him to pick which one he wanted, we told him to "come" and he selected the Natural Balance Tender Cuts two times in a row! I think it's safe to say that out of the two treats we received, those were his favorite!  I couldn't even set the bag up on the counter without him staring at it and begging for more!

Before trying these two treats my husband and I would only really keep Milkbones around the house. Being able to test out these products opened my eyes and showed me that switching up Oakley's snacks is something we should do more of, especially since he enjoyed the biscuits and tender cuts so much.

Special thanks to Chewy for sending us these products to test. We (and Oakley) are already excited to see what products we'll receive next month!
