How do you know when you’re ready to have a baby? From what I’ve heard, no one is really ready for parenthood. It’s just something that you fully embrace when the time is right. Seeing my friends start families of their own has been so eye-opening and it’s been great to see the way that they care for and interact with their children. My husband, Kyle, and I have talked about having kids and starting a family of our own one day. Before getting married, we discussed our plans for the future and when children might fit into the picture and we both agreed that we wanted to be married for a few years and enjoy being newlyweds before welcoming a baby.Read More
One of the coolest things about being an adult is being able to work in a field you're passionate about and earn a living doing what you excel in or what you enjoy. When I'm not blogging, I'm working full-time at my day job. I'm lucky to have a job that I love and to work with people that inspire me and motivate me. I've learned a lot after working in my industry for five years and I know that I still have a lot to learn. I'm excited to see where my career takes me and I can't wait to continue growing and developing my skill set.
Since I'm used to being in an office setting, I've learned how to make the most of each week and ensure that I stay organized and on top of everything on my plate. Writing things down and recharging by taking small breaks throughout the day definitely helps me to stay focused. I challenge you to try these seven things this week at work and see if they make a difference in your productiveness and the overall way you feel.Read More
Every generation is different, but there’s just something about millennials, right? GEN Y is the largest living generation and they’re making a splash across a variety of mediums. As the first segment to truly embrace the internet, millennials are all over the latest and greatest social media platforms and it’s no surprise that so many millennials (like myself) have started their own blogs.
GEN Y has embraced everything about connecting with people online and using their platforms as a way to share everything from their favorite products to what they’ve been up to in their daily lives.Read More
Raise your hand if you love to travel! You obviously can’t see my hand, but it’s reaching toward the ceiling. I’ve shared on my blog time and time again that traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Travel is truly the only thing you can buy that makes you richer. There are so many things out there to do and experience.
Every year I make a list of the places that I want to travel to and then I search far and wide on the internet to determine if there are any deals for the destinations that I have in mind. If I find a decent deal, I’m definitely not opposed to booking it and turning my travel dreams into a reality.Read More
Living in Michigan, I have the opportunity to enjoy lots of local products that are made right here in the Mitten State. Michigan is home to the Cherry Capital of the World (Traverse City), plenty of popular breweries like Founders Brewing Co., and Dearborn Sausage Co. No matter what types of food you like, you can find great products - ranging from locally grown fruits and vegetables to snacks like potato chips and pickles - from every corner of Michigan.Read More
Over the week of the Fourth of July, my husband and I headed up to Northern Michigan for a week of fun in the sun. My parents have a house on a large lake, so we couldn’t wait to get to their place so we could go swimming, ride jetskis and just relax. We ended up taking the whole week off of work to celebrate the Fourth and my husband’s birthday, so it was really nice to get away and spend time with family.
There is so much to do and see in Northern Michigan, so I knew that we were going to be on the go a lot during our week-long vacation. Between the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City (which takes place during the week of the Fourth) and visiting wineries on Old Mission peninsula, our family had a jam-packed itinerary with lots of activities planned each day.Read More
Can you believe that it's already Memorial Day weekend? The weather where I live is supposed to be beautiful for the next few days, so I'm looking forward to spending time outside with family and friends. In addition to being outdoors, I'm also standing up as a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding this weekend! It will be so exciting to see her get married to her college sweetheart.
On Memorial Day my husband and I are planning to go over to his parents' house so we can lay around by the pool and soak up the sun. It will be so nice to relax and enjoy the warm weather - the forecast is saying that it will be 95 degrees. I love this time of year because my skin gets a little darker and my hair gets a little lighter.Read More
"Millennial" is such a buzz word these days, don't you think? It describes the generation born between 1982 and 2000. As a millennial myself, I see first-hand how connected this segment of people is and how they're changing the way marketers sell their products.
