The Best Black Boots for Fall and Winter

This post is written in partnership with San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS). All opinions are my own.

If there’s one thing I wear from the start of fall to the end of winter, it’s boots. Living in Michigan, boots are a necessity since we have brisk falls and cold winters. While I wear sneakers and flats in the spring and summer, my fall and winter wardrobe tends to revolve around boots.

My friends at San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS) sent me their Duchess Boots and I absolutely love them. They’re perfect for fall and winter since you can dress them up or dress them down. The boots are so comfortable and they have a really simple design so they’d look great with a dress and tights or with jeans and a sweater (which is how I decided to style them for today’s blog post).

I can be pretty picky when it comes to boots because I’m a fan of simple styles that offer a comfortable fit. I’ll admit that I was a little apprehensive at first when I got these boots because I was afraid that they might not feel good on my feet (I didn’t try them on before I received them, so I just picked out my normal shoe size and kept my fingers crossed). The first time I put these boots on they felt great - my feet had enough room and the boots fit well around my legs.

I love the Duchess Boots from SAS because they offer both style and comfort. The upper portion and lining of the boots features smooth Italian leather (these boots are handcrafted in Tuscany, Italy - how cool is that?!) and gore panels run from the shaft to the ankle, which helps to accommodate a variety of calf widths. On the inside of the boots you’ll find a full length zipper that allows you to take off each shoe easily. There are also padded insoles that provide a little extra cushion for the bottoms of your feet.

I’ll be wearing these boots for the rest of the season and I’ll feel good doing so because they’re durable, yet luxurious. Since they have genuine quality leathers from Italy, these shoes stand out from other brands and products like it. Just from the craftsmanship and design, I already know that these will be the best black boots I ever own.
