My Travel Bucket List

During my 20+ years on this earth, I've been lucky enough to visit several different states and a handful of top travel destinations in North America and overseas. Although I've been to places people dream about like Paris and Santorini, there are still tons of destinations I'd love to visit.

Watching people visit various cities on shows like The Amazing Race and keeping up with other travel blogs constantly leaves me inspired and wanting to explore the world. Being exposed to different countries and cultures is one of my favorite parts of traveling. There is so much to learn about and see! I thought it would be fun to list out my travel bucket list and see if any readers have been to the places below.

Sydney, Australia
I long for a land down under! My husband has been to Australia, but I've never visited. I'll admit that Finding Nemo is one of my favorite movies, but that's not the main reason I'd like to visit Sydney. The most famous landmark that I've seen from Sydney is definitely the Opera House. What a beautiful building! And then there's Bondi Beach. Hello, gorgeous! I could totally see myself swimming laps in the pool and then soaking up rays on the beach all day.

Phuket, Thailand
I'm a beach girl, so Phuket sounds like the perfect destination for me! This is a go-to destination for the TV show The Bachelor to film, and for good reason. It looks absolutely gorgeous. There are blue waters, white sand and foliage all over. If I was on a reality show, I'd want to go to Phuket, too! Phuket is home to many luxurious hotels and swanky restaurants. If I ever win the lottery, you better believe that I'll be jet setting off to Phuket faster than you can say "mai tai."

Copenhagen, Denmark
I've been to a lot of countries in Europe, but I've never been to the northern part or Scandanavia. Did you know that Copenhagen has been ranked the happiest city in the world? Just knowing that alone makes me want to visit! Several brightly painted buildings line the Nyhavn. The canal also harbors many historical ships and wooden boats.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Visiting this place would be like a dream come true. I absolutely love to snorkel, so staying in a bungalow over the water and seeing the ocean floor from right inside my hotel room would be amazing! I could only imagine how clear the water really is! The island is completely surrounded by a lagoon and barrier reef, so it's known as being a luxury travel destination for vacationers and scuba divers, similar to Phuket.

Let's not forget that this is where Kim Kardashian lost her diamond earrings! Here's a GIF to help us relive this important moment in pop culture history:

St. Lucia
Of course I've only seen it in pictures, but from what I've seen I can tell you that St. Lucia is beautiful. This Caribbean destination was one of the top places on the list for our honeymoon. St. Lucia is home to the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic formations that tower over the island. In case you didn't know, Pitons means peaks in French. If you ever have the chance to visit St. Lucia, you can actually go on tour and hike up the Pitons. Count me in for that! I'd love to see the view of St. Lucia after reaching the top. One other cool things that I learned as I was doing research on St. Lucia leading up to our honeymoon was that you can take a helicopter from the airport to your hotel. What a cool way to get a scenic view of the island!

Iceland
I don't know about you, but I've been hearing so many people talk about Iceland lately. I've had a number of friends who have been lucky to visit Iceland and they've all said that it's an absolutely amazing place. With waterfalls, towering cliffs, hot springs and glaciers, it's an explorers' paradise. This is definitely a place I'd love to visit the next time I'm feeling up for an adventure!

I can only hope that one day I'm lucky enough to cross ALL of these amazing destinations off my travel bucket list. Seeing the sites and experiencing the cultures in these various cities and countries would be so special. If you asked me to pick just one place that I'd like to visit I don't even know if I could choose. They all seem like excellent places to go. If I absolutely had to choose, I think that I'd most want to go to Phuket. I've never been to Asia, so visiting that continent would be awesome!

Have you ever been to a place listed above? I'd love for you to tell me about it!
