Sometimes I feel like "busy" is my middle name. I spend my weekdays at my day job working full-time and my evenings are spent juggling a million and one things. Luckily, I've become a pro at multitasking and finding ways to do two things at once. Since I always have a lot going on in my life (there's seriously never a dull moment) I like to think of myself as a Girl Boss on the go.
On a typical morning I wake up at 7 a.m. so I can get ready for work. Each morning I shower, get dressed, do my makeup and eat breakfast. I've learned to move quickly in the morning so I can make it out the door and head to work by 8 a.m. After a 35 to 40 minute commute, I pull into the parking lot at my office building, walk into the lobby and head to my desk. Next I power up my computer and get ready for the workday!
In the middle of answering emails and running from meeting to meeting at work, I like to try to squeeze in a workout at the gym on my lunch break if I have time. Some days are busier than others and I have to workout once I get home, but if I can burn a few calories while on the clock I take full advantage of it. If I'm at the gym at work or if I fit in a quick sweat session at home, I'll load up my HBO GO app and just press play. For me, being able to watch a show I enjoy makes the time fly by and I'm done with my workout before I know it. Sometimes I get so enthralled by what's happening on my screen that I'll spend a little extra time on the treadmill or the stair stepper - that never hurts, right? By the time my cool down comes around, the show I'm watching is winding down, too. My favorite shows keep me on pace and make me excited to work out each day.
Once the workday is done, I'm ready to drive home and get my evening started! Preparing dinner, doing little chores around the house, walking the dog and spending time with my husband are just a few of the things on my nightly to do list.
When I'm in the kitchen I love to get caught up on whatever HBO show I'm currently watching by letting it play on my iPad while I cook. I can watch and listen between adding ingredients to a new recipe I'm making or waiting for the oven to preheat. A watched pot never boils, but when HBO is on in the background cooking feels like a breeze.
When dinner is done and the dishes are washed, I'll either head out for a quick walk with my pup or I'll curl up on the couch with a cozy blanket and just relax. I love having downtime after work. After interacting with colleagues all day long, it's so nice to just disconnect from everything and recharge with a good TV show or movie. HBO always comes in clutch because I can pick from tons of Hollywood hit movies to watch. Between comedies, dramas, family movies or action movies, I know I'll find something that fits my mood.
I've come to realize that with my busy schedule finding time to do the things that I want to do can sometimes be challenging, but I always manage to figure out ways to enhance my daily routine and fit in what's most important to me. Having entertainment options that fit my lifestyle is something that I won't compromise on. I like knowing that I can take my favorite TV shows and movies with me no matter where I am or what I'm doing. All I need is my phone with my HBO GO app and a pair of headphones and I'm good to go!
HBO GO is my go-to app for entertainment because there are tons of options and I can watch shows with immersive story lines and engaging characters that inspire me. Some of the things that I love about HBO GO are that it gives you unlimited access to ALL of HBO. So, what does that mean? It means every episode of every HBO original series. Cool, right? That's not all! You can stream the latest Hollywood hit movies BEFORE any other streaming service. Between awesome (and addicting) series, laugh out loud comedies, talk shows that'll leave you with your eyes glued to the TV, documentaries that'll really make you think and so much more, you can get it all on HBO.
For any of you college students out there, visit HBOGo.com to see if your school has access to free HBO GO on campus. All you have to do is click on sign in and look for your school in the drop-down menu. If your school isn’t included, please go to HBONOW.com/student for an exclusive student offer. How cool is that?!
If you're an HBO fan like me, you won't want to miss Night of Too Many Stars! Tune in on November 18, 2017 to see Jon Stewart host this live event benefiting NEXT for Autism. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood will come together to perform, all in an effort to raise awareness and funds for autism programs. Join the cause and you could be in the room with too many stars, live from The Theater at Madison Square Garden, by sharing a photo of the “too many” in your life. Too many shoes, too many laughs, too many shows to catch up on? Let HBO know on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags #NightOfTooManyStars and #Contest.
