My Favorite Fall Drink Recipes + Capresso MT900 Coffee Maker and froth TEC Automatic Milk Frother Review

I received the products in this post for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Happy National Coffee Day! As a way to celebrate, I thought it would be fitting to have a blog post dedicated to coffee today. My husband and I love to experiment with different coffee-inspired drinks and we’re always looking for opportunities to try new blends and recipes. As much as we like to sip on coffee, we’re not afraid to switch things up and add in different flavors like chocolate, vanilla, caramel or frothed milk.

My friends from Capresso sent me their MT900 10-Cup Rapid Brew Coffee Maker and the froth TEC Automatic Milk Frother. Both of these are must-have products for any coffee lover (the Holidays are coming up, so make sure to keep these in mind for any coffee fans on your list). From a design standpoint, they’re very sleek and modern (both the MT900 and the froth TEC have stainless steel exteriors) and they don’t take up too much counter space. I’m going to highlight the features on both of these products and then I’ll share some great drink recipes that you can make with them later on in this blog post.

MT900 10-Cup Rapid Brew Coffee Maker

Want lots of coffee in a short amount of time? The MT900 coffee maker brews 10 cups of coffee in under 7 minutes! It brews your favorite coffee for maximum flavor and aroma. In other words, it makes great tasting coffee fast! One of my favorite things about this coffee maker is it’s GoldTone filter. This filter basically eliminates the need for paper filters and it’s very easy to clean after each use. There is also a drip stop (so you can pour a cup of coffee while brewing), a removable 50-oz water tank and a 24-hour programmable LCD clock/timer. Overall, I’m really impressed by this coffee maker and how easy it is to set up and use right out of the box. The water reservoir detaches from the back of the coffee maker and you can fill it right from your faucet. I also love the stainless steel thermal carafe and lid. It keeps coffee hot for a really long time and cleaning it is a breeze.

froth TEC Automatic Milk Frother

If you’ve never used a milk frother, you’re missing out! The froth TEC Automatic Milk Frother from Capresso can really help to take your favorite drinks to the next level. At the touch of a button, you can have frothed milk at three different temperatures (cold, hot or warm). The heating disks on the froth TEC help to warm up milk and the dual auto-shut off feature turns the device off when the appropriate temperature is reached (or even when the pitched is removed from the unit’s base). The milk pitcher is dishwasher safe and it can hold up to 10 oz of frothed milk or 16 oz of heated (non-frothed) milk. I absolutely love the fact that you can pour milk into the froth TEC and then add in your favorite sauces or syrups. I’m a big fan of white chocolate sauce, so that’s my go-to, but you can also add in chocolate shavings which is great.

Fall Drink Recipes

Since fall just started, I thought it would be nice to share some autumn-inspired drink recipes. You could enjoy any one of these drinks while relaxing on a cool and crisp morning at home or even while you’re on the go running errands before a fun football tailgate. Read on to learn how to make my favorite beverages:

Classic Latte

Let’s start off with a classic! Making a latte at home is easier than you think. Rather than driving to the coffee shop down the street, just pick up a few ingredients from the grocery store and you’ll be able to make your favorite latte faster than a barista could. Follow these steps to make a classic latte in the comfort of your own home.

Ingredients:

  • One shot of espresso

  • ⅔ cup of steamed milk

  • A few spoonfuls of frothed milk

Instructions:

Add milk to the froth TEC frothing pitcher. Wait for frother to automatically shut off, then pour the milk into a mug. Pour coffee or espresso directly over the frothed milk.

Salted Caramel Mocha Latte

The salted caramel craze is stronger than ever and has no signs of slowing down. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a delicious salted caramel mocha latte. With a pinch of salt, this latte will leave your taste buds wanting more!

Ingredients:

  • 1 shot of espresso

  • 6 oz of milk

  • 1 tsp. of caramel sauce

  • Whipped cream (optional)

  • Coarse sea salt (optional)

Stir together milk and caramel sauce in a mug. Add espresso and top with whipped cream if desired. Drizzle extra caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.

White Chocolate Mocha

I’m a big fan of white chocolate mochas! I prefer to drink them iced, but every now and then (especially in the fall and winter months) I’ll make a warm one to enjoy. This drink is so tasty and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz of milk

  • Hot strong brewed coffee or espresso

  • 2 tsp. of white chocolate sauce

  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

Add milk and white chocolate sauce to the froth TEC frothing pitcher. Wait for frother to automatically shut off, then pour the milk into a mug. Pour coffee or espresso directly over the frothed milk. Top off your drink with a little whipped cream if desired.

Caramel Iced Coffee:

Some like it hot and some like it cold! If you’re an iced coffee fan through and through, then you’ll love this caramel iced coffee. It’s the perfect blend of sweet caramel and rich coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of hot strong brewed coffee

  • 1 cup of cold milk

  • ¼ cup of caramel sauce

  • 2 -3 tbs. of sugar

  • Ice cubes

  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

Pour coffee into a mug. Add caramel sauce and sugar; stir until dissolved. Place coffee into the refrigerator in order to cool. Once coffee has been chilled, add milk and ice cubes. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Hot Caramel Apple Cider:

Fall is all about caramel and apple flavors, right? If you want a drink that will remind you of days at the cider mill, this recipe is for you. I first came across this recipe when flipping through one of Capresso’s recipe books, but I put my own spin on it and added a little bit of vanilla, some whipped cream and a touch of cinnamon.

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz of apple cider or apple juice

  • 2 tsp. of caramel syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • Whipped cream (optional)

  • A sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

Add apple cider, caramel syrup and vanilla to the froth TEC frothing pitcher. Wait for frother to automatically shut off, then pour the liquid into a mug. If desired, add whipped cream and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.

Hot Chocolate:

Hot chocolate is a great go-to drink on cold fall or winter days. Who doesn’t love a warm, chocolately beverage topped with marshmallows or whipped cream? It’s like dessert in a cup! With the froth TEC Automatic Milk Frother, it’s easy to make great-tasting hot chocolate in minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz of milk

  • 2 tbs. of chocolate syrup

  • Marshmallows or whipped cream (optional)

  • Chocolate chips or chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions:

Add milk and chocolate syrup to the froth TEC frothing pitcher. Wait for frother to automatically shut off, then pour the liquid into a mug. If desired, add marshmallows or whipped cream and drizzle additional chocolate syrup or sprinkle chocolate chips/chocolate shavings on top.

No matter what types of flavors you like, I’m sure you’ll find a drink you love in this post. One of the best parts about fall is sipping on a warm drink while in the company of family or friends. Take this time of year to do things a little more slowly and to savor each moment when enjoying your morning coffee or specialty drink. There’s no need to run to the coffee house down the street when you can make all of your favorite drinks at home. It’s easier and more affordable than you think! Plus, the MT900 10-Cup Rapid Brew Coffee Maker and the froth TEC Automatic Milk Frother are so easy to use that you’ll be able to be your own barista with the touch of only a few buttons!
