As a young millennial, I have a lot of things going on in my life. Between my full-time job, blogging, traveling, spending time with family and friends and just general hobbies, I’m always on the go. Since I’m awfully busy, I have to carve out time to spend on tasks like paying bills and sorting out my finances. I like to set aside time every few weeks to go over anything and everything related to banking. I have found that being intentional with my finances has made such a difference, especially after entering “adulthood.”Read More
If you work in an office setting or if a future job opportunity will require you to work in an office setting, chances are that you'll have to set an out of office email reply during your career. Spending time outside the office and having a good work-life balance is so important. Disconnecting from your workplace and taking a few days to yourself to relax can help you come back to the office feeling refreshed and ready to tackle your next big project. Just because you step away from the office for a few days doesn't mean that the world will stop and the company you work for will be put on hold. Business will continue as usual and you'll be responsible for catching up on any work that you missed while you were away.Read More
I thought it would be fun to share a little travel Q&A post on the blog today! If you've been following my blog for a while, you know that I love to travel. One of the coolest things about being an adult is being able to work in a field you're passionate about and earn a living doing what you excel in or what you enjoy. When I'm not blogging, I'm working full-time at my day job. I'm lucky to have a job that I love and to work with people that inspire me and motivate me. I've learned a lot after working in my industry for five years and I know that I still have a lot to learn. I'm excited to see where my career takes me and I can't wait to continue growing and developing my skill set.
Since I'm used to being in an office setting, I've learned how to make the most of each week and ensure that I stay organized and on top of everything on my plate. Writing things down and recharging by taking small breaks throughout the day definitely helps me to stay focused. I challenge you to try these seven things this week at work and see if they make a difference in your productiveness and the overall way you feel.Read More
Every generation is different, but there’s just something about millennials, right? GEN Y is the largest living generation and they’re making a splash across a variety of mediums. As the first segment to truly embrace the internet, millennials are all over the latest and greatest social media platforms and it’s no surprise that so many millennials (like myself) have started their own blogs.
GEN Y has embraced everything about connecting with people online and using their platforms as a way to share everything from their favorite products to what they’ve been up to in their daily lives.Read More
Raise your hand if you love to travel! You obviously can’t see my hand, but it’s reaching toward the ceiling. I’ve shared on my blog time and time again that traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Travel is truly the only thing you can buy that makes you richer. There are so many things out there to do and experience.
Every year I make a list of the places that I want to travel to and then I search far and wide on the internet to determine if there are any deals for the destinations that I have in mind. If I find a decent deal, I’m definitely not opposed to booking it and turning my travel dreams into a reality.Read More
Summer is so close I can almost taste it! This is the time of year that I get excited for longer days and warmer weather. I love spending time outside and just having more sunshine in general, so I’m definitely counting down the days until Memorial Day (because we all know that that’s the unofficial start of summer). With better weather around the corner, it won’t be long until it’s time to break out the shorts, t-shirts, tank tops and bathing suits. If you’ve been thinking about starting an at-home workout routine to get ready for the upcoming season, then keep reading!Read More
I'm a huge fan of traveling light and packing my things in carry-on bags. Being able to bypass the airline ticket counter, bag check lines and the baggage claim area at the airport is a major plus. I also love knowing where my things are at all times and having my essentials handy in case I need anything while waiting at the airport or while on board a long flight.
Since I've become accustomed to packing my things into carry-on bags I've had the chance to test out a lot of travel size products. Before each business trip or vacation I take, I raid the travel size aisle at the store and stock up on my favorite products. I could write a whole separate post focusing on the makeup I pack when traveling, but for purposes of this post I'm going to be focusing on facial, body and hair products. All of these items are products that'll help you get through either a short or long flight. If you need to freshen up while you're on the plane, you can just reach into your bag and pull out any of these items.Read More
